A Little Bit O Soul, Eh

I can’t think of a better way to brighten this damp grey day than this show announcement... Word today that the soulful sounds of Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings will be heard throughout a number of Canadian music venues this spring; including a stop in the Forest City on May 13th.

An extensive North American tour kicks off in Knoxville, TN on March 10th and this one is not to be missed if you are a music lover. (Full tour dates are listed below.)

The last few years have been a wave of success for a band that sounds like it might have recorded for Stax or Motown Records forty five years ago!  The hugely talented New York soul band is touring in support of their brilliant 2010 release I Learned the Hard Way out now via Daptone Records.

Plan to attend!

Sharon Jones and her dapper Dap Kings are such a fun band to watch. I've only ever seen them perform in a far too short festival performance. I may need to check out their full length show.
