PLAYLIST 13 - Every Good Painter Paints What He Is

This compilation is a concerted attempt to recreate the feeling of reading Jack Kerouac’s On the Road for the first time. The songs were selected not as overt references but rather a converyance of the book’s well developed themes. A soundtrack for reading if you will. The book remains a pivotal creative influence on me.

06. Jack Kerouac - The Subterraneans

I like this mix. It feels like a walk down a dirt road.

Very cool.

You can send me one!

Really enjoyed that mix a lot. Very good to do yoga to.

Key points:
--I will be whistling that John Fahey tune for a while, which is a good thing.
--It's been a long time since I've listened to Kerouac and Amon Tobin, thanks for the reminder of how joyous it is to listen to both.
--That Betty LaVette, never heard of her, she's really something.

Cheers Sean!
