Polaris Prize 2012 Longlist Announced

I would be remiss if I neglected to report that the 2012 Polaris Prize announced its longlist last week.   As always the list is a diverse one with industry mainstays Leonard Cohen and Drake joining newcomers Grimes and Yamantaka // Sonic Titan.

See a full list of the 2012 Polaris Prize nominees below.  As always speculation and prognostication is always welcome in the comments.  My pick?  Sandro Perri.  Of course I kinda like that Grimes record too…  Oi, it’s like this every year.
